Keep Airbnb: your listing there carries on exactly as it is. A booking page sitting there waiting for traffic does nothing, so yours does not wait: it catches the guests who already find you outside Airbnb, and today end up booking through it anyway. Here is where they come from, in order, and who does each part.
Your listing on newfoundlandlabrador.com is one of the first places guests look, and many of the guests who find you there have never been near Airbnb's search. Its Book Now button is yours to set, in the operator portal you renew with each year. Pointed at your page, it books you directly, any hour.
You: about fifteen minutes in your own portal login. We: walk you through it, tap by tap. We never ask for your password.
Your own website, your Facebook page, and Google where your business qualifies for a profile (Google does not give a holiday home one of its own). Each of them points at your page instead of at Airbnb, or at nothing.
You: a few minutes each, from your own logins. We: the steps and the words.
People who booked you by phone, by e-transfer or through a friend. Next season, send them your page instead of a phone number.
Never your past Airbnb guests. Airbnb's rules forbid moving its bookings off Airbnb, and breaking them can cost you the listing. For the same reason, the booking link never goes inside the cabin while Airbnb guests stay there too.
A roadside sign where the province's sign rules allow one, cards at the gas station, the shops and the visitor centre, and posts in the snowmobile, fishing and community groups.
You: post, and pay a printer here directly, only if you print. We: design it print-ready and write the posts.
Mainland guests plan Newfoundland trips in the winter and early spring. Your page shows your rates and open dates for next season, so they can book in February without waiting on a reply. The province also lets you add a free Travel Offer to your listing, such as "Book next summer by March 31", and its own guide says you do not need to discount.
We: set your rates on the page before the mainland starts booking, and keep your January listing renewal from lapsing.
Every page comes with a growth plan that starts from this list and adds what fits your place. Write to desk@bestkindstays.ca, or see your own page first.
